Henry Riley LLP have enjoyed an excellent working relationship over the past eight years delivering over 500 extra care units with many more either currently under construction or in the feasibility stage.
During this time we have assisted H&C21 in exploring innovative designs, defining a standard specification and enhancing aspects of extra care design to ensure the needs of residents and staff are met.
In addition to the key design principles of extra care housing (i.e. communal facilities such as lounge, restaurant, hair salon, activities room, assisted bathroom and offices for care staff and scheme manager) schemes completed have included libraries (in partnership with County Councils), specialist dementia apartments, communal street scene designed circulation spaces, bungalows and leading, innovative assisted technology.
